Silhouette

I have not posted on my blog for what seems like  forever, but over at ihearts this week the theme is silhouette and I just love these types of images. They speak to me and defiantely tell a thousands different stories. So here is mine. This is my girl just in her own little world, strolling the beach, enjoying the beauty that it holds. This week at ihearts the theme is over the head.I recently photograhed a wedding and I really liked this shot of the bride and bridesmaids concentrating extremly hard to make that veil perfect, I love all the look of anticipation in their eyes. Playtime

This week at ihearts the theme is playtime. I picked this photograph of my son blowing bubbles. I love that this picture captures his perfect bubble blowing face.....eyes closed and lips puffed up. It is so rare to see my son playing so quielty so I will treasure this photograph for many years to come :)

Celebrating Mum :)

This week at ihearts we are celebrating mum. My friend Vickie is a new mum and I love this picture of and her son. I think it captures beatifully just how much she is in love with her son.

A Fathers Love.

This week at iHearts the challenge is all about smiles. I immediately thought of my friends the Kingstons and their lovely wee baby Joshua. The day I photographed them Joshua was having a unsettled afternoon. However joshus'a mood quickly changed when his daddy swooped him up in his arms and looked into his sons eyes and both their faces just lit up into beautiful big smiles. My heart just melted as my camera clicked away.

Kiwi Fav

This week ihearts if focusing on deserts. I just love dessert and remembered a picture of a Pavalova I took at Christmas so decided to enter. This desert is a traditional desert for us kiwis to eat at Christmas time. It is made with egg white, sugar, vinegar and cream. I had the most fun decorating with another New Zealand favourite, Kiwifruit, strawberries and grated chocolate. It is so delicious to eat, soft and moist on the inside with a crunchy sweetness on the outside.

This week at ihearts the photo challenage is all about Dramatic black and white. I thought this photograph of my girl fitted the desription perfectly.

Double Trouble

I have just joined i heart faces photography website thanks to my friend Evette and am about to enter my first picture. The challange is all about angles, and I while taking this picture of my son Caleb I had my camera at such an angle that I caught his reflection in the display glass. On my first viewing of this photograph my immediate reation was " Double Trouble".
